About this item

This six-hour class meets the SESSION 9 Continuing Education requirement for PLUMBERS to maintain plumber and gas fitter licensure as mandated by the Board of Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters in Massachusetts. The class will provide the three-hour portion required for licensed Gas Fitters and an additional 3 hours required for all licensed Plumbers. The topics covered in the course change each year as decided by the Board of Examiners.

Plan to arrive at seminar at least 15 minutes prior to start time to sign-in.

Objectives

Upon completion of this seminar, you will be better able to:

  • Discuss administrative changes and items identified by the Board of State Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters.
  • Describe changes to the gas provisions of NFPA 2012 Chapter 10.
  • Describe the requirements for condensate, venting high efficiency equipment using PVC, and line pressure regulators.
  • Identify condensing boiler installation issues.
  • Describe the proposed code changes to 248 CMR 10.00
  • Describe the requirements for double wye fittings, wet venting, building sanitary sewers and drains, and gas and oil separators.
  • Properly cut and notch structural members.
